Korero Kids on Waiheke (continuing for 2020)
‘He korero mai i te ngakau’ which roughly translates to “Speaking from the heart”
A community driven playgroup for our tamiriki (children) to learn Te Reo māori through Waiata and kanikani (song and dance). It is for children under 5 to come with their parents for a fun filled morning.
Through the concept of whanaungatanga, sharing ideas and experiences and celebrating te reo together through waiata, our whanau & tamariki will gain a positive sense of ‘who they are’. A fun way to learn our national language and afterwards a shared morning tea together.
Beginners welcome, we are all learning together.

“It is our role as educators to teach young children the foundations of learning. I am very passionate about learning Te Reo Maori and sharing our native language with our tamariki nohinohi (small children)”-Jane Rippingale
